Hello.

I have a RAF spec Martin Baker mk7a2 rear seat from a Phantom. It has an RAF serial number 260 painted on the seat in a number of places. I have had the seat for about 25 years.

I wonder if anyone would be able to tell me which aircraft this seat is from? After much Internet searching I have drawn a blank.

Hi Chris, the ejection seat was interchangeable between aircraft and was removed for servicing every 6 months. It would therefore have been fitted to numerous airframe's in its life. Hope this helps. Chris Phillip (Armourer)
