website wizard

how do I stop using (Disable) website wizard on this site and just use the visual page editor?

Re: website wizard

There is nothing forcing you to use the Wizard. Just use the editor of your choice.

BUT once you stop using the wizard you can't go back.

Re: website wizard

The Website Wizard will always be available to you in your hosting account. There is no way to remove it as a selection. And, anything that you previously created in the Wizard, will stay there. Of course, you can delete the content manually and then delete the pages it created on your web site, from the file manager. But the Wizard will still be there.

The important issue with the Wizard, if you intend to use something else for editing, is to never go back there any more. There is no functions within the Wizard that are useful to other editing methods. Specifically, the "publish website" function is strictly for a Wizard creation.

However, the Visual editor is not the best editor to use. Some users start with the Wizard and then switch to editing with the Visual editor. This is almost always a disaster. The Visual editor tends to delete some important web page information, which then causes the page to display poorly. I would recommend you use a design tool on your PC and then simply upload your web pages.
