As for discontinuing the Wizard, just stop using it. Do not click that link. And above all, do not go there and "Publish".
As for using the file manager visual editor... I assume you do not have a computer of you own, and depend on public and borrowed computers? In that case online editors really make sense. Otherwise there are plenty of better editors out there. Many of them free.
If you are thinking about keeping your present pages, and just change editors, be warned: Wizard pages can be edited in other programs. But they aren't built for that. Creating new pages from scratch is likely to be easier.
