.html Can I Get freerewards.bravehost.com/YourNight.html 2 Just freerewards.brevehost.com/YourNight
I Thank you so much in advance for any help.
I Think The Subject asks it all? Is there a way to get the .html removed from a bravehost URL? I can easily get to home page http://freerewards.bravehost.com/ without having to enter http://freerewards.bravehost.com/index.html but if enter http://freerewards.bravehost.com/index (no .html) the page will not display.
Is there a REMOVE FIX to the .html? I really hope to get the URLs down to only -
http://freerewards.bravehost.com/YourNight
and
http://freerewards.bravehost.com/Index

No, your subject doesn't say much of anything, but your explanation helps.
Your Bravenet URL does not have a ".html" associated with it. Your files do, but your URL does not. The default home page should be "index.html" or "index.htm". To get to your web site all you need is your basic URL, "http://freerewards.bravehost.com", nothing else.
When you use something like "http://freerewards.bravehost.com/index", the server looks for a folder named "index" and then looks for a file named "index.html" in that folder. The same thing with "http://freerewards.bravehost.com/YourNight". The server looks for a folder named "YourNight" and then searches for a file named "index.html". Anything without an extension is assumed to be a folder.
When you are trying to link to another page on your site, you will need the ".html" extension. The extension is needed so that the server knows what kind of file this is and how to send it to the visitor. The visitor's browser also needs to know this extension. For example, a file with a ".html" extension is assumed to be a HTML file. A visitor's browser will simply display it. But if it had a ".zip" extension, the visitor's browser knows that this is a ZIP file and to prompt the visitor for a save option.
Browser: Firefox, Netscape, Sea Monkey, Internet Explorer, .....

Unless you create a YourNight folder for the file and put the file (in this case named index.html)in that folder, yes.
Uh... make that "Yes!".
adding a .html extension is expected, and won't confuse or delay your visitors.
For you to keep track of a folder for each page, and to avoid messing up the complex links between files linked to on those pages, is likely to be a nightmare.
