I used Bravenets template for my website, however...I want a background color, cause its just white. I don't see how I can do this. Do I have to restart my whole site over again, and somehow build it with my own code to make the page?

Almost better to design your site yourself if you want certain things and more.

It is possible if you know how to code the underlying CSS but templates are meant to be used "as-is". If one doesn't suit then 9 times out of 10 it is easier to find a different one that does.
