I discovered your site via a few atc\'s that I bought from a pop-up business at our little garage here at 150 Mile House....I know that ATC\'s aren\'t for selling, but I was so charmed by so many of them I had to buy them-I can\'t believe anyone would part with these gems. I purchased these about 6 years ago, and within my little collection are Gillian Allens\' ballerina \'wings\' 2004 (with butterfly wings) and Tina Shoaga\'s \"Fly\" wings ATC from March 2004. I can\'t tell you how much I enjoy looking through these, great inspiration for a mixed media newbie...now I have found some ATC frames by Strathmore. Now to find some small frames to encase them. LOVE your work, ladies! |

Thanks for setting up and maintaining such an informative site! It really helped me with my research for my art course in University. I\'m studying photography but I had to do something \"artsy\" for my photos. The art projects posted on art-e-zine really inspired me. |

This is a lovely site but I am very confused about what I can use the free images for? I'm also bewildered as to why there is no FAQ or email facility to ask the site admin/owner a question? May I use these images on my website and/or blog to illustrate a topic? and may I use them to create flyers for an event? I would appreciate a swift response. My website is not yet published because I need to find some suitable images, but the domain name is registered to me and the site mostly built. Thank you |

Great site, wonderful spirit here. Gillian, I just wanted you to know that I travel to London between 2 and 5 times a month and stay in South Kensington. (I am a flight attendant for American Airlines). I saw the part of your site about dyeing with Procion fiber reactive dyes and your determination that Dharma is the only source to use. I agree. If there comes a point, at any time, that you need to order from them, or anyone else in the US, please feel free to contact me and I would be happy to bring it over to London, if you can come to the hotel and pick it up. That way you don't have to wait until you have a big enough order to make it worth shipping it. I can bring as much or as little as you want, whenever you need it. I know how frustrating sourcing can be. For dyeable fabrics, also go online and check out Thai Silks. I don't know that they have any rayon, but lots of silk and silk/rayon velvet. They are in Los Altos, CA. Anyway, that's my offer and I'm sticking to it. We all need to help each other in any way we can and you certainly do your part with this site, as do those who make the great contributions. Cheers, Heidi |

I have been inspired by Art E-Zine for three years now. After I took an altered art class taught by Norma Kooi I have loved this vintage style of scrapbooking and creating jewelry. I am still learning and growing in this style. Thanks for the inspiration. This is the top of the line altered art website!! |

LOVE the artwork! I'd gladly pay the subscription fee, but I have a couple of questions about permissions. Is there an email address I can send me inquiries to? If not, could you email me so I can ask? I also have some images I might contribute. GREAT site. Patti |

Hi, I hope that this interests you and your readers. I am attempting to amass a large collection of portraits of Frankenstein's Monster in as many different styles and in as many different media as possible as an ongoing art project. The only stipulation is that the size is 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches (standard artist trading card size) and that each card has name, date, title and anything else you care to add on the back. I welcome cards from both amateur and professional artists. I will be leaving blank cards with instructions and mailing address in galleries, colleges, art shops, on buses, handing them out in the street and wherever else I can think of. If you think you can spare the time to produce a little something, please send a portrait to: A Patchwork Of Flesh 45 Silversea Drive Westcliff on Sea Essex SS0 9XD United Kingdom Each card I receive will be uploaded at http://apatchworkofflesh.blogspot.com/ to produce an on-line gallery, I then hope to put on an exhibition of these cards in a gallery. |

My name is Su and I have lived my life in Florida. I'm a mother and a granny. I'm retired, now, so, I find plenty of things to do. I'm finally able to get around to many of the things I have always wanted to do. It seemed only natural to spend my time with artistic endeavors. Art-e-zine is single-handedly responsible for my newest interest in art. I have been an artist all of my life. A few years back, I obtained Photoshop CS3 and thought I'd learn to digitally scrap the masses of photos of my family. That is when I found I liked the design aspect of digi-scrapping. I am hooked! LOL When I found Art-e-zine, my interests came to include vintage, collages, and all the magnificent designs I have found on these pages. I really don't know a whole lot of the terms. If anyone reading this could offer some help on them, or, point me to a site that explains them, I would be ever so grateful. The art I'm finding is somewhat different from digital, in that the pieces are actual - made by hand. Not having the resources for this, I am attempting to experiment with some of the digital images and designs I have made or found online. I'm just beginning, but, I just know this is going to be a whole new world of art for me. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you soon. Su |
