I do not know any McClure ancestors beyond my father, as he was not raised by his biological father. I have been so curious as of late to know as much as I can. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My mother was Margaret Elizabeth McClure, daughter of Edward McClure (1894-1969) of Gracehill, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland. His grandfather was Edward McClure (b.1828 Co. Antrim) a son of William John McClure (b.1786 Co Antrim d.1867 Georgia,USA). It\'s been great to be able to trace his family on your tree but now I am puzzled - did Edward stay in Ireland or go with his parents to USA and then come back? He was married in 1849 in Ireland to Jane Lennox and obviously the line continued here. I\'d also love to know more about the Morvians, my grandfather was deffinately one, but most of the McClures I\'ve looked at on your tree seem to be Presbyterian. Many thanks, Alison

I posted in a previous post. I am in the process of doing a history page, as well. It seems my branch is From Halbert and another James McClure ( not my particular James) but a brother, I believe to Halbert, that immigrated shorlty after Halberts death. I will post my page URL when completed. Im sure we are related in that lineage.

There is a lot of confusion about some of our heritage on the McClure side but it is said that 3 brothers came to America (I believe to South Carolina) they separated with one going further south (Georgia), one going north (I believe Boston, Mass.) and one going further west.

Just wanted to say I love the page. My lineage is from James McClure, born Jan 5, 1765. He was born in Ireland and died Dec. 15, 1800 in Butts County, either city of Jackson or Stark, in GA.

As a general question, how many originial McClures\' immigrated to America?, if you have that information handy. I have been told, all McClures\' in the USA and Carribean Islands are related to a certain point.

I am searching for my great grandmother, Pearl A. McClure Turner who was born in Canada, then moved with her family to Boston Mass., and then she moved to Florida. My grandmother is Corine Ida Turner Hagins Schuler, born in Daytona Beach, Florida, and now resides in Savannah, Georgia. The photo of the children on page 2 of the PHOTOS, the center girl in the rear appears to be my grandmother- Corine Ida Turner Hagins Schuler. My granddaughter, Amelia Grace Anderson, looks EXACTLY like this little girl in the photo. I am searching for any information on Pearl A. McClure Turner - her husbands name was Hubert Turner, and they had 3 children. Huburt Francis Turner (now deceased), Corine Ida Turner (still with us) and Lavana Turner (now deceased).
