rice bran vs. vegetable oil

I saw on a website on nutrition that veg. oil provides better nutrition per pound than rice bran. Is this true? What are the pro's and con's for each. Kristi

Re: rice bran vs. vegetable oil

Hi Kristi,

The oil is pure fat, whereas rice bran also contains vitamins, minerals, and protein, in addition to fat. So, the rice bran is a more "complete" food. Rice bran oil is generally given by itself to help with weight and muscle gain at a faster rate.
