THE Simple Game

For those of you that enjoyed reading THE (sorry, not "A") Simple Game, you would also enjoy Greatness and Goodness:Barbaro and His Legacy, by Alex Brown. It is a beautiful, and I mean BEAUTIFUL, book- both text and 164 page photo essay. He mentions many topics the author of The Simple Game discussed including a large chapter on slaughter and retired racehorses. There is a very well-organized club called FOBs (Friends of Barbaros) that is doing great things around the country. A beautiful read about a special horse that opened the eyes of many non-horse people. You can order it from alexbrownracing.com.

Re: THE Simple Game

Hello Cristine,

Thank you for the book suggestion. I normally like to limit postings on this forum to nutrition-related questions/comments, but since Barbaro's death may have had a nutrition component, it is appropriate.

All the best,
