Hi Jane,
It looks interesting .... but it says to add it to oats, and then, in the next paragraph it talks about how high starch (grain) diets are not appropriate for horses with ulcers. Uh... something wrong there.
But, you might consider adding it to beet pulp, instead of oats. It doesn't have anything in it that's a "red flag" that I can see but for the hard keeper? Well, that would depend solely on the number of calories it offers. It does not contain any pre/probiotics that would boost digestion efficiency -- these are very important for the hard keeper. It does, however, have digestive enzymes -- that's helpful, especially for older horses.
So... I don't have a strong opinion about this, as you can see.
