Re: Free Choice supplement for mares and foals on pasture and free choice hay

Hello Hannah,

There aren't very many free-choice vitamin preparations out there (as there are with minerals) but Kent Feeds makes one called Equine Choice: http://www.blueseal.com/equine/productpages/27_EquineChoice.pdf

Hope this is helpful.

All the best,

What would you recommend as a free choice supplement for mares and foals on pasture.

I don't want to throw my money away of products that don't work. I don't have the option of hand feeding each one their supplements.

Thank you in advance

Thank you for the input. Unfortunatly I cannot find anyone locally who can get that product.

I can get ADM Pro-Vita min, their Grostrong minerals or Equilix,

Can you tell me what the better product is?

Re: Free Choice supplement for mares and foals on pasture and free choice hay

Hello Hannah,

I would go with the ADM Pro-Vita Min 20-5 (5% fat) or the 18-12 (12% fat) depending on your horses' fat needs. If they are exercised more intensely, get the higher fat version.

This one seems to be the best in terms of completeness.
