Hi Amanda,

Horses tolerate high fat diets very well, so I would suggest that you find a low starch feed and add some oil to the mixture. Allen and Page makes a product called "Sugar and Cereal Intolerance Diet", which I would recommend. To this, add some flaxseed oil to give him omega 3 fatty acids.
